1. Web IT - from candidate to long-term partner
For us, signing a contract is not the end - it’s just the beginning. Sometimes, the journey starts with the very first screening call. Every new colleague is not just a number in a spreadsheet, but a person with a path ahead, and we are here to help them succeed. We primarily look for colleagues who want to grow - professionally, personally, and as part of a team.
Our foundation is built on pillars such as trust, responsibility, and communication. The last one is especially important - being able to communicate challenges, ask for help, or request a discussion or training in areas where professional growth is needed.
A big differentiator is how I work with juniors and colleagues in general, and how much I care that every new team member has their place, their responsibility, clearly set values, and knows they can always turn to me or the company and rely on us. Of course, this also has its limits, as both sides must be ready and willing. It’s not about persuading, but about showing the path we follow here and then it’s up to each candidate to demonstrate that they want to walk it and share the same values in their future work.
What awaits a new colleague from day one?
- Personal welcome: On the first day, we go through not only tasks but also expectations on both sides. We introduce our processes, the team, the details of cooperation, and most importantly, give a feel for our style of collaboration.
- Setting direction: Together, we explore where the colleague wants to grow and what they need to achieve it. We work in an agile methodology — teamwork develops skills, self-study accelerates professional growth, and we set milestones for where you see yourself over time and how I, the company, or colleagues see it.
- Open dialogue: From the start, we make it clear: feedback is not one-way, it works both ways. Trust is essential here, and setting this principle helps ensure that people genuinely look forward to coming to work.
How does development work in practice?
- Regular meetings: We don’t rely on problems solving themselves. Everyone has the space to talk about what’s going well and what’s holding them back. We meet regularly every two weeks at the beginning, later monthly and give feedback on cooperation, development, training, company or project updates, and self-education.
- Coaching instead of criticism: We don’t just point out mistakes, we look for ways to turn them into opportunities for growth whether personal development or balancing work and private life. Together, we set steps that will help. The most common changes include illness, a new family member, moving, or a change in lifestyle.
- Freedom for ideas: When a colleague comes up with a meaningful idea, they have the space to make it happen. We want people to think critically about their work. If they find a better, more efficient way, it needs to be communicated, presented, and discussed — ideally in collaboration with colleagues.
- Professional and financial growth: Our development system is designed with gradual professional advancement and continuous salary increases. Each colleague can influence their own compensation.
The path to independence
A new colleague starts as a ‘newcomer’ but gradually grows into an independent professional — taking on responsibility, leading projects, and bringing their own initiatives. For more experienced colleagues, there are opportunities to move into areas that interest or fulfill them — for example, taking on the role of project lead, product owner, project architect, CTO, and more.
My role in this process:
- I guide and coach and together we look for the right direction.
- I help discover strengths - we work on development with processes tailored from complete juniors, set up so that both sides can see real-time progress: tackling new and more challenging projects, mentoring juniors, handling complex tasks, and more.
- I connect personal motivations with company goals - both sides need a vision and the will to walk the path together long-term. For us, this means lower turnover, a growing team, and a community of people with ambition, eager to learn, grow, and later pass knowledge on to newcomers - not just chasing change for higher pay without real work and skills.
Why does it matter so much to me?
Because I believe that when we give people care and genuine attention, they return it with performance, loyalty, and innovation. Our company goal is simple: for everyone in the team to feel like a partner, not just an ‘employee.
